A company that registers as an appraisal management company in Mississippi must file a $20,000 surety bond with the Real Estate Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. The price is a flat $200 — the same for every AMC, no quote process.

Registration bonds at a fixed amount are simple. Here's the entire process:
Business details and an effective date. That's the application — no financials, no credit section, no follow-up scavenger hunt.
Fixed-amount bonds like this are among the thousands of bond types that issue right after purchase. At most, 1–2 business days.
Your executed bond arrives by email, ready to file with your AMC registration application or renewal. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
Mississippi registers appraisal management companies — firms that hire and oversee independent appraisers for lenders — through the Real Estate Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board under the Mississippi Appraisal Management Company Registration Act. Registration requires a $20,000 surety bond.
The bond is payable to the State of Mississippi for the use, benefit, and indemnity of any person who suffers damage or loss as a result of the AMC’s breach of contract, breach of an obligation arising from contract, or violation of law. A harmed appraiser, lender, or consumer can recover against the bond up to $20,000.
The surety can cancel only with at least 60 days’ written notice to the Board’s administrator, keeping coverage continuous. If the surety pays a claim, the AMC repays the surety. (Note: the Registration Act is currently set to stand repealed July 1, 2027 unless the Legislature reauthorizes it.)
These are the actual issuing fields — no credit section, because this bond doesn't have one.
