About Light RFP

Light RFP was founded in 2022 with a simple vision: creating a marketplace for Requests for Procurement (RFPs).

Procurement is difficult to run in-house. An internal RFP process can result in a web of emails, paperwork, and phone messages that professionals need to navigate. New technology has only expanded the channels that procurement managers have to manage, often on their own.

David, our CEO, performed hundreds of RFPs during his career in operations at both Zipcar and Kepler Group. His reflections on procurement came to a head when he was growing the Costa Rica office of Kepler Group from 2 to 100 employees. He realized just how time-consuming it can be to do procurement without pre-existing contacts, and was surprised to learn there was no end-to-end solution.

David set out to make a system that would centralize and streamline procurement. That vision became Light RFP — a software solution bringing together every aspect of the RFP process, taking the pain out of marketplace interactions, and allowing truly competitive RFPs.
