Consistent with Chapter 862 of the Laws of 1990, the agency named below requested an exemption from initially publishing this contract opportunity in the procurement opportunities newsletter, i.e., the NYS Contract Reporter. In accordance with Section 144(2)(e) of the Economic Development Law, the Office of the State Comptroller has granted the exemption.
The University requires the emergency removal, demolition, and disposal of a hazardous, approximately 125-year-old failing masonry chimney, including demolition of approximately eighteen (18) feet of chimney height below the existing concrete deck, staging of all demolished brick and concrete debris on the roof, placement and installation of a new steel deck and reinforced concrete deck, and installation of a new stainless steel exhaust stack, complete with anchoring system and ancillary support, to ensure that a new system is fully installed prior to the commencement of the heating season.
