Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the demolition of the existing brick chimney and the construction of a new chimney on the gatehouse at Union Village Dam, East Thetford, VT. The work also includes the installation of a new insulated flue liner, and all associated components. Specific tasks include: protecting the roof and building during demolition; removing and storing the existing bluestone rain cap, rooftop appurtenances, lightning protection cable, and heating oil vent pipe; removing counter flashing; demolishing the entire existing brick chimney down to the concrete slab; removing the thimble on the operating floor; constructing a new brick chimney in the same location and dimensions; installing a new stainless-steel liner and insulation system; installing new lead counter-flashing; pouring a new concrete chimney wash; reinstalling the existing bluestone rain cap, rodent screen, top plate, rooftop appurtenances, lightning cables, and vent pipe; reconnecting the existing furnace; applying waterproofing sealer; bricking in the unused thimble on the operating floor and replacing damaged bricks; and performing an operational test of the system.
