The City seeks a Historic Preservation Consultant or team of consultants to provide professional services to develop a Comprehensive Equity-based Historic Preservation Plan and concurrently develop City-Wide Historic Preservation Design Guidelines. This is a community-based project that includes public neighborhood meetings, consultation with NY SHPO, relevant Tribal Historic Preservation Offices, and other community stakeholders. The Comprehensive Historic Preservation Plan requires presentations before, engagement with, and adoption by the City’s Common Council. The historic design guidelines shall be adopted by the HLPC following a public hearing. This project is funded by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation through FFY25 Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) Sub-Grant/ Certified Local Government (CLG) Award.
