The City of Newnan is soliciting bids for contracting to furnish all materials, labor,
tools, equipment, and services necessary, including traffic control, for the
installation of traffic signals, controller and cabinet assembly with battery backup,
radar detection, and related equipment for the intersection of Newnan Crossing
Blvd East/ Diplomat Pkwy/ Stonebridge Crossing. Related construction includes

Time for Performance: Substantial completion, 180 days from Notice to Proceed
Terms and Time of Payment: Monthly, for completion of work, in accordance
with the
Agreement

the office of City Engineer located at City Hall, 25 La Grange Street, Newnan,
Georgia, 30263, or may be downloaded from the website for the City of Newnan
at www.newnanga.gov
Proposal Guaranty: Bid security in an amount of 5% of Bidder’s maximum Bid
price
Bid Opening Time/ Place: August 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM, Firm, at the office of the
City Manager located at City Hall, 25 La Grange Street, Newnan, Georgia 30263
City Reserves: The sole right to evaluate the bids submitted; to waive any
irregularities therein; to reject any and all bids; and award a contract in the best
interest of the public
The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and services necessary, including traffic control, for the installation of traffic signals, controller and cabinet assembly with battery backup, radar detection, and related equipment. Related construction includes construction of sidewalk, curb/gutter, curb ramps, mill and overlay of asphalt surface, and the application of thermoplastic pavement markings and RPMs. The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the plans and State of Georgia Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, latest edition, and shall be responsible for coordinating with utility owners, clearing right-of-way obstructions, and providing traffic control in accordance with MUTCD.
