The City of Sandy Springs is soliciting sealed bids for the work consisting of milling and resurfacing approximately 22.35 miles of roadway throughout the City, including milling to a minimum depth of one and one-half (1.5) inches, patching (12.5 mm or 19 mm) where required, and paving with 12.5 mm asphalt at 165 lbs./SY, or as directed by the Engineer/City of Sandy Springs representative. The roadway segments are identified in the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to add or delete roadway segments during the contract term. Traffic control and mobilization costs will be adjusted for areas that are added or removed from the scope of the contract.
Award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all minimum technical requirements.

SECTION 150.11 Special Conditions
A. WORK HOURS:
This project requires the following restricted work hours:
Work will be permitted during weekdays (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 8:00 AM to
5:00 PM. Lane closures, on-site detours, traffic pacing and other activities that visibly interfere with
traffic shall only be permitted between 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on arterial and collector roadways.
Lane closures will not be permitted between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 am; and 3:30 p.m. to 7:00
pm
without prior approval by the engineer.
Work on Local residential streets may be permitted outside of these hours provided that traffic is
maintained and no significant disruption occurs, subject to approval by the Engineer.
B. TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN:
A Traffic Control Plan (TCP) shall be submitted a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the start of any work
activities for review and approval by the Engineer. TCP shall conform to the latest edition of the Federal
Highway Administration Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and applicable GDOT
standards.
C. HOLIDAY WORK:
No work shall be allowed during the following dates due to holidays:

The work consists of milling and resurfacing approximately 22.35 miles of roadway, including milling to a minimum depth of one and one-half (1.5) inches, patching (12.5 mm or 19 mm) where required, and paving with 12.5 mm asphalt at 165 lbs./SY, or as directed by the Engineer/City of Sandy Springs representative. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, traffic control, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the FY2026 LMIG Resurfacing Project in accordance with the Contract Documents. Work includes crack sealing, trackless tack coat application, pavement markings, traffic control, and protection of existing infrastructure. The contractor shall be a GDOT pre-qualified Prime Contractor and must perform at least 51% of the work.
