GOODNOW LIBRARY AND DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BUILDINGS HVAC DESIGN SERVICES
Seeking statements of qualifications from registered engineering firms licensed to do business in Massachusetts and experienced in mechanical, electrical and plumbing design of public buildings, to perform design and engineering services in connection with the replacement of rooftop HVAC equipment at the Goodnow Library and Department of Public Works buildings.
Pre-Bid Conference: A site visit will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 28, 2025. The site visit will commence at the Goodnow Library and continue to the DPW Town Offices upon the conclusion of the Goodnow Library site visit.
The selected firm will perform design and engineering services for the replacement of rooftop HVAC equipment at the Goodnow Library (21 Concord Road, 32,800 sq. ft.) and the DPW Town Offices (275 Old Lancaster Road, 28,000 sq. ft.). Replacement equipment must comply with applicable stretch code and provide sustainable/electrification equipment selections. The scope includes associated cost estimates for all work incidental thereto and a future required engineering fee budget. The desired performance timeline includes preliminary reports and cost estimates on or before October 15, 2026, with substantial completion on or before November 15, 2026.
