The lessee will farm 92.38 acres at the Mt. Vernon Game Propagation Center under a five-year crop rotation plan (2027-2031) that includes corn, soybeans with cover crops, and idle fields. The lessee must follow the cropping plan in Attachment B, which designates specific fields for corn, soybeans with cover crops, and idle use each year. Cover crops must be planted on designated fields, and the lessee must leave twelve rows of un-harvested corn and soybeans down the center of certain fields. The lessee must comply with all IDNR agricultural practices, including prohibitions on neonicotinoid-treated soybean seed, Dicamba, and fall tillage unless specifically requested. The lessee must document all chemical, fertilizer, and seed applications using provided log forms and submit them by December 15th annually. The lessee must also perform soil testing in the fall of the second and fourth lease years and maintain soil fertility to IDNR minimum levels. The lessee may perform additional services in lieu of cash payments with prior agency approval.
