The lessee farms designated fields at Turkey Bluffs State Fish and Wildlife Area under a five-year cropping plan for corn, soybeans, cover crops, food plots and idle acres, providing all labor, machinery, seed, fertilizer, equipment and insurance, controlling weeds and pests with prior approval for chemicals, maintaining soil fertility and soil testing, planting and terminating cover crops, leaving unharvested rows and food plots for wildlife, documenting chemical, fertilizer, seed and yield data, paying rent and leasehold taxes, and performing approved services in lieu of cash at University of Illinois farm custom rates.
