Replace Siding

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace the existing wood siding and associated building envelope components. Work includes removal and disposal of approximately 1,606 square feet of deteriorated custom wood Dutch lap siding, existing house wrap, and vertical wood strips; installation of new house wrap (Tyvek DrainWrap or approved equal), wood furring strips (nominal 1"x2" green treat lumber) to achieve a 3/4" air gap, insect screen, and CoraVent SV-5 Rainscreen Siding Vent or approved equal; removal and replacement of all corner trim (starter, inside, outside) with new smooth-planed cedar trim boards; refabrication and reinstallation of existing metal window cladding; priming all new cedar siding and trim on all sides and edges prior to installation; and application of two finish coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Rain Refresh exterior acrylic latex paint or approved equal to all wood components. The contractor will also need to temporarily remove handrails and other building attachments, replace rotted top wooden hand boards along the front stairs, and protect all adjacent building components and site features during construction. All work must be performed under a single contract and completed within 180 calendar days of the start date provided on the Notice to Proceed.
