Mora-Paradise Fiber Install

The contractor will furnish and install fiber optic cabling and conduit, using both existing and new facilities, to create three low-count fiber cable routes. Work includes excavating and installing approximately 2,425 linear feet of new Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC conduit, installing six new subsurface vaults (handholes), and pulling one 48-fiber cable (estimated 6,900 feet) and two 12-fiber cables (estimated 2,300 and 2,500 feet). The contractor will also make conduit extensions and repairs to connect existing conduits into Vault 1, utilize existing vacant conduit and pull tape between Vaults 1 and 6, perform horizontal directional boring or pneumatic missile boring under a main road, and make building penetrations at Ski Dorm and Glacier Dorm. The contractor must perform end-to-end Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing on random fibers and provide as-built drawings and OTDR trace reports. Cable terminations and electronics are excluded.
