GENERAL INFORMATION:
This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) Award of this contract will be made according to FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services. All references to ¿proposal¿ in this solicitation shall be understood to mean ¿quotation.¿ Quotations shall be evaluated in an impartial manner and consideration given to those with the highest perceived value to the government.
Contract Type
The contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be a firm-fixed price commercial contract/award.
The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide a Tree Handler Rental Service at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The rental includes a wheeled tree handler meeting detailed specifications (e.g., Sennebogen 718M E or equal), with a heavy duty grapple saw and rotating log grapple. The vendor is responsible for delivery and pick-up of the equipment to the park's maintenance area, providing comprehensive operator training at delivery, and servicing the equipment during the rental period, including emergency service within 24 hours or one business day. If the equipment is out of service for five or more calendar days, the vendor must provide a suitable replacement or pro-rate the rental fee.
