The City of Waco is requesting bids from qualified contractors to provide all labor, vacuum trucks, equipment, transportation, documentation, and incidental services necessary to remove sewage sludge from the Bull Hide Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and transport and deliver the material to the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant for further processing.
Services will be provided on an as-needed basis in response to requests from an authorized City representative. No minimum quantity, number of loads, number of trips, or frequency of service is guaranteed.
The contractor shall provide all labor, vacuum trucks, equipment, transportation, documentation, and incidental services to remove sewage sludge from the Bull Hide Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and transport and deliver the material to the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant for further processing. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis in response to requests from an authorized City representative. No minimum quantity, number of loads, number of trips, or frequency of service is guaranteed. The contractor shall maintain all TCEQ registrations or other authorizations required to transport municipal sewage sludge and biosolids, including Class B biosolids. Each vehicle must have a tank capacity between 2,000 and 5,000 gallons. The contractor shall provide vacuum trucks or other City-approved vehicles meeting specified requirements, including fully enclosed, liquid-tight tanks and leak-free hoses, valves, fittings, caps, and connections. Service may be requested by telephone, email, text message, work order, or another mutually accepted method, and the requested storage container or containers shall be emptied and the sludge delivered to Central no later than 4:00 p.m. on the calendar day following notification.
