The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (“TTUHSC EP”), a part of the Texas Tech University System, seeks proposals from qualified firms for ABSL3 Shutdown/Decontamination and Equipment Certification (the “Services”). The Services are more specifically described in Section 5.4 entitled Service Specifications.
The successful proposer will provide annual ABSL3 decontamination services, Biosafety Cabinet inspection and certification services, and Techniplast ISO rack inspection and certification. Services include shutdown/decontamination of the BSL3 suite, testing and certifying the BSL3 suite, replacing HEPA filters, testing and certifying the Techniplast ISO rack, replacing HEP bank filters and pre-filters, CSCII cabinet HEPA filters, ISO rack filter, and PVC for bag in and bag out process, and certification of animal resource certification station and transfer hood stations. The vendor will be responsible for sealing off the A/BSL3 suite, decontaminating by gas or vapor, removing and replacing HEPA filters using bag in/bag out procedure, certifying four Class II Biosafety Cabinets, and providing a final report. Additionally, the vendor will test and certify 40 Class II Biosafety Cabinets campus-wide and certify twelve Class I Animal Transfer stations and one animal bedding dump station.
