Central Plant Cooling Tower Basin & Gearbox
Contractor shall supply all labor, supervision, technical staff, management and services required to develop and execute a comprehensive work plan for cooling tower equipment and basin at Texas Southern University. The scope includes inspection, testing, maintenance, evaluating and estimating a quote for repairs if required. Specific work includes draining and cleaning the basin (four cells), inspecting and repairing internal walls, checking separator/filtration systems, inspecting and servicing gearboxes (Amarillo Gear Model 1008), motors (Baldor 405T, 100HP), fans (Hudson 18KW-7), couplings (Rexnord LRA450.275SS), oil level switches (Murphy EL 150EX), vibration switches (Metrix 440DR), and separator/filtration systems (Lakos Model HTH-0450-L/FLG/NS). Also includes inspecting water spray nozzles, fan cylinder surfaces, PVC fill and FRP fill supports, drift eliminator systems, and hot water distribution systems.
