Cold Water Line Replacement
The selected contractor shall provide all labor, engineering coordination, materials, tools, equipment, permits, disposal, and supervision required to safely remove and replace the designated galvanized piping systems. Work includes demolition and removal of old galvanized piping, installation of new Type L copper piping (approximately 1,970 feet total in sizes from 1/2 inch to 3 inches), valves, insulation, supports, and tie-ins to existing fixtures. The contractor must perform hydrostatic pressure testing at 125 PSI, chlorination and disinfection, third-party water quality testing, and restoration of any breached finishes. The majority of work will be done during normal school hours with some off-hour time for new system tie-ins.
