2025/2026 CDBG Street Improvements and Randolph Street Improvements

The project generally entails street improvements on various streets within streets within the City
of Riverside The project will include the replacement of deteriorated asphalt pavement, installation of
ARAM with new AC pavement overlay, removal/replacement of damaged AC or concrete curb, gutter,
sidewalk, pedestrian ramps, and driveway approaches. The project also includes the construction of new
Bid 8271 - Special Provisions Part 1, Page 7 7/27/2026 pedestrian ramps at various locations throughout the City. The project will also include tree removals, landscape and irrigation modifications, and traffic improvements.

Additional maintenance work may be requested to be completed on roadways within a 5-mile
radius of any project location indicated on the plans if an unforeseen immediate Public need arises during the Project Term. If requested, additional maintenance work shall be paid at the rates submitted for Project Bid Items and shall be authorized via a Change Order per Section 2-7 of the Standard Specifications referenced in Section 3-7.1.1.

Additional new pedestrian ramps may also be requested to be constructed at separate locations
throughout the City if an unforeseen immediate Public need arises during the Project Term. If requested, additional pedestrian ramp work shall be paid at the rate submitted for the pedestrian bid ramp items and will be authorized via a Change Order per Section 2-7 of the Standard Specifications referenced in Section 3-7.1.1.

Any questions, interpretations, or clarifications, either administrative or technical, about this Bid must be submitted via “Q&A” through the City’s Electronic Bidding System, PlanetBids Vendor Portal. All written questions posted on the City’s electronic bidding website, and Proposers identified as “Prospective Bidders” on the City’s website will receive a notification via email. Notes
The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all licenses necessitated by the Contractor's operations. Prior to starting any work, the Contractor shall be required to have a City of Riverside Business Tax Registration valid for the life of the Contract; subcontractors shall also have Business Tax Registrations valid for the time they are engaged in the work.
