Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority (SRTA), in consultation with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Bureau of Public Transportation (BPT), announces the availability of funding for intercity bus services and invites bids from qualified intercity bus service providers. The total program allocation available for services under this solicitation is $5,950,000 for the 2027–2028 contract period. This represents the maximum funding available for services awarded through this procurement and does not constitute a guarantee that the full amount will be awarded or expended.
The Pennsylvania Intercity Bus Program is intended to support a reliable, accessible, and connected intercity bus network that links rural and small urban communities with larger population centers and the broader regional and national transportation network. Consistent with federal Section 5311(f) objectives, the Commonwealth seeks services that provide meaningful connections, address intercity transportation needs, and strengthen the overall intercity bus network.
