2026-27 Field Renovation – Buffaloe Road Athletic Park – Field 5

The scope includes renovating the skinned infield area (20,250 SF) and converting sideline warning tracks (5,000 SF) to natural turf. Work involves cutting existing turf, removing the existing pitcher's mound, grading, installing infield mix (70-30 sand/clay blend, 225 tons), infield soil conditioner, batter's box clay bricks, sod (Tifway 419 or Tiftuf Bermuda, 5,000 SF), and sod base soil blend (140 tons). The contractor must fine grade with a cone laser to a max slope of 0.5% with accuracy of <= 1/4 inch within 10 feet, compact with a roller, construct batter's and catcher's boxes, apply topdressing, set bases, excavate existing warning track materials (approximately 95 yards), remove geotextile fabric, modify irrigation (relocate 8 heads), and install sod from the existing outfield turf to the field fencing.
