The South Central Mental Health Hospital is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive laundry and linen services for a 104-bed behavioral health facility located in Wichita, Kansas.
The vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and supplies necessary to perform laundry and linen services for a 104-bed behavioral health facility. Services include collection, processing, finishing, and delivery of hospital-owned linens (Option 1) or provision, laundering, maintenance, replacement, and delivery of vendor-owned linens (Option 2). Items include bedding, bath linens, patient apparel, environmental services textiles, kitchen textiles, and linen bags. Pickup and delivery must be provided seven days per week with processed items returned within 24 hours. The vendor must maintain strict separation of clean and soiled items, comply with healthcare textile infection prevention requirements, and provide emergency and surge capacity. The vendor shall also maintain a formal quality assurance program, meet minimum performance standards (e.g., no more than one missed delivery per quarter, 100% cleanliness standard, <1% inventory loss/damage, ≥90% stakeholder satisfaction), and provide reporting, inventory management, and business continuity plans.
