A 5% Bid Bond will be required with bid. A Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of 100% will be required from awarded contractor.

The City of Covington is accepting bids for LMIG/LRA Resurfacing. Sealed bids must be received by the
Purchasing Department, Attn: Maranna Gilbert in City Hall by Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at 10:00 AM.

The City of Covington will consider the competency and responsibility of bidders in making the award. City of
Covington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, to reject
portions of the bids and to award contracts in a manner consistent with the City and laws governing the State
of Georgia.

SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I.
Vendors are invited to submit a bid to furnish all labor, material and equipment for 2.89 miles of Asphaltic Concrete Patching, Milling, & Resurfacing on various streets in the City of Covington. The work includes traffic control, asphalt 9.5mm, tack coat, milling variable depth, thermoplastic line markings, deep patching, raising/lowering storm structures, formed curbing, OGI 1", sewer MH lids, valve lids, and thermoplastic arrows. The contractor must perform at least 80% of the work with their own organization, cover milled surfaces within three calendar days, adjust manholes and valves, and provide a one-year unconditional warranty for all material and labor performed.
