The project includes reconstruction of approximately 2,000 linear feet of sidewalk on both sides of Church Street, spanning from the intersection of Church and Pleasant Street to Walnut Street. Key design elements include a comprehensive overhaul of sidewalks to 5-foot-width on both sides, limited sections of new granite curbing, driveway aprons, installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps at every crosswalk, MUTCD Pedestrian Crossing signs at and before each crosswalk, new pavement markings at each crossing, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) along Church Street, and minor utility relocations to meet new sidewalk elevations.
