The Work consists of: site development for a ground storage tank and pump station to service future development in the Silverleaf subdivision. Site development includes installation of water storage, disinfection, and pressure maintenance facilities, including all associated accessories and components, construction of yard piping, site grading, clearing and grubbing, installation of structural walls, site perimeter security fence, and seeding, together with related subsidiary and incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications.

By submitting a Bid, Bidder acknowledges and agrees that the Contract Documents may be accepted, executed, or agreed to using an Electronic Signature, as defined by and in accordance with Owner’s Electronic Signature Rules for Construction Contracts. All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid, as specified in “Instructions to Bidders”. Performance and payment bonds shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by Owner pursuant to applicable law. Minimum insurance requirements are specified in Article 6, Standard General Conditions. Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially complete within 330_Calendar Days for Silverleaf GST & Pump Station after date specified in Article 4.01 of the Agreement, in accordance with the “Bid Form”. Final completions shall be achieved within 30 Calendar Days after substantial completion. Liquidated damages for delay, but not as a penalty, as provided in the Agreement, are Seven hundred and Fifty and No/Hundredths Dollars ($750) per Calendar Day for failure to substantially complete the work and Seven hundred and Fifty and No/Hundredths Dollars ($750) per Calendar Day for failure to achieve final completion within 30 Calendar Days after substantial completion, in accordance with the “Bid Form”. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board’s judgement will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project.
