The lessee will farm designated fields at Shabbona Lake State Park on approximately 119 to 121 leased acres per year from 2027 through 2031 under a specified rotation of corn, soybeans, sunflowers, legume and cover crops, including sunflower establishment and management, cover crop planting, legume maintenance, weed and pest control, soil testing, and maintenance of field borders and grassed strips. The lessee provides all labor, machinery, seed, fertilizer, chemicals and equipment, pays rent and leasehold taxes, maintains insurance, and submits application logs, receipts, seed tags and yield data.
