THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO MILL AND OVERLAY APPROXIMATELY 18.474 MILES OF HIGHWAY 73 IN
HEMPSTEAD AND HOWARD COUNTIES. THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF GUARDRAIL,
AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, ACHM SURFACE COURSE, COLD MILLING ASPHALT PAVEMENT, ACHM PATCHING OF
EXISTING ROADWAY, MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC, GUARDRAIL, EROSION CONTROL, RUMBLE STRIPS, PAVEMENT

THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THIS CONTRACT ON OR BEFORE November 24, 2027.
The purpose is to mill and overlay approximately 18.474 miles of Highway 73 in Hempstead and Howard Counties. The work consists of removal and disposal of guardrail, aggregate base course, ACHM surface course, cold milling asphalt pavement, ACHM patching of existing roadway, maintenance of traffic, guardrail, erosion control, rumble strips, pavement marking and miscellaneous items, including 287,386 SQYD cold milling, 40,816 TON aggregate in ACHM surface, tack coat, guardrail terminals, silt fence, rumble strips, reflective paint markings and raised pavement markers.
