VISN 2 HSA 2.1 Patient Ceiling Lift
The contractor shall provide a technical and cost proposal for turn-key services to install patient lift systems, including all new and removal/de-installation of existing lift system equipment (slings, lift devices, rails, support material, bracing, and all associated components). The work includes providing required plans, engineering details, tools, labor, testing, training, cleaning supplies, and containment systems. The contractor must supply and install standard (600 lb minimum) and bariatric (825 lb minimum) ceiling lifts, disposable slings, clinical inservice training, and vendor-certified installation and deinstallation. The contract covers 12 facilities with a projected initial quantity of 817 systems, with an IDIQ maximum of 1,060 systems. The contractor must comply with all applicable UL standards, life safety codes, national electrical codes, fire codes, ISO 10535, and federal/state/local regulations. Installation must follow manufacturer instructions under qualified representative supervision, and the contractor must provide PE-stamped structural calculations and shop drawings. The contract includes a base period (09/01/2026 – 08/31/2027) and four option years through 08/31/2031.
