DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The work includes removal of (4) facilities from the building A6 steam supply system. The (4) buildings being taken off of steam service (23A, 43, 44, and 49) shall have their steam to heating hotwater exchangers removed and natural gas boilers provided in their place. Building B23A shall also have its domestic hot water heaters replaced.
Work includes the trenching and backfilling for the installation of gas piping to each of four buildings, restoration of paving due to gas piping installation, The contractor shall be responsible for connecting to the utility meter and provide gas distribution to the installed boilers.

This amendment 0002 incorporates the following :
The work includes removal of (4) facilities from the building A6 steam supply system. Building B23A shall also have its domestic hot water heaters replaced. Work includes the trenching and backfilling for the installation of gas piping to each of four buildings, restoration of paving due to gas piping installation, The contractor shall be responsible for connecting to the utility meter and provide gas distribution to the installed boilers. The construction contractor shall provide all site work (excavation, trench preparation, backfill, paving, site restoration, etc.) and Rhode Island Energy (RIE) will provide the gas line/piping installation up to and including the gas meters in the prepared trenches under a separate contract with the Navy. The construction contractor shall be responsible for providing all natural gas piping and appurtenances from the exterior meter through the exterior wall into the building up to the boilers. Controls for each facility shall tie into the existing BACnet through the existing Johnson Controls MetaSYS controllers. Work also includes pouring concrete housekeeping pads for new equipment along with removal of some interior building trenches no longer needed, filling them in and pouring a new concrete slab, filling holes in foundations where pipes are removed with concrete, and reinforcing penetrations through roofs for piping and making flashing and roofing repairs.
