SC SANTEE NWR HERBICIDE APPLICATION

The contractor will apply aquatically approved imazamox at a rate of 2 quarts per acre via aerial or watercraft on a 257-acre treatment area on Dingle Pond, targeting cattail, cutgrass, water hyacinth, alligator weed, parrots feather, and Chinese tallow tree. The contractor is responsible for transport of all equipment, herbicides, adjuvants, and water, and must ensure all applicators have labeled PPE. Operations must follow South Carolina's Best Management Practices for Forestry, and all garbage must be removed daily. The refuge manager will provide a shapefile defining project boundaries.
