626-24-203_Cooling Tower and Chillers

Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Upgrade Cooling Tower and Chiller as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes installation of new cooling tower modules to provide sufficient cooling capacity for the new chiller plant and to obtain an N+1 redundancy for the condenser water system. New condenser water lines will be routed through the building and new condenser water pumps will be installed. Structural platforms, pipe supports, and reinforcing of existing structures and slabs associated with new piping and equipment are included. Electrical system upgrades include a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Deduct alternates allow omission of specific demolition scopes: existing pumps and piping in Fan Room 3 (Alternate 1); existing cooling tower, structure, and platforms on roof outside of Fan Room 3 (Alternate 2); and piping in subbasement and central core of the hospital (Alternate 3).
