This Synopsis/Solicitation Notice is to announce the U.S. Department of Interior (DOI), U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for Pest Control Services in accordance with the attached solicitation.
The synopsis/solicitation number is 140G0226Q0101 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).
The award for this requirement shall be made using the policies in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation, and award prescribed in FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, as appropriate for this acquisition. Award shall be made to the vendor whose quote, conforming to this RFQ is determined to be the most advantageous to the government.

The contractor shall complete monthly extermination services for five buildings at the Guam Magnetic Observatory: Quarters 1, Quarters 2, Office Building, Shop/Garage Building, and Variations/Combo Building. Work includes ensuring all buildings are free of termites, bugs, and pests; applying pesticides per EPA standards; cleaning and disposing of fecal matter and corpses; installing extermination systems that are safe for the environment, pets, wildlife, and humans; using non-magnetic or non-ferrous systems at the Combo building only; providing a diagram of all systems for FM approval; coordinating with the USGS FM 48 hours in advance; and adhering to Federal, EPA, and territorial policies. The contractor must also provide copies of all professional extermination certifications granted by the Government of Guam prior to NTP.
