Linen and Laundry Services - SAVAHCS

The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform contractor owned/contractor operated bulk laundry/linen services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, Tucson, AZ. Services include pick-up and delivery of items by contractor personnel. The contractor must provide an electronic or online program to order all linen needs, a program to rent all linen needs, a quarterly titration report, monthly logs of trailer cleaning, a separate 96-hour contingency supply of linen, and the ability to process approximately 1,350,000 lbs of soiled linen a year. The contractor must provide all linens to be laundered, including a full new rental inventory at start-up, and all required vehicles. The work includes cleaning, conditioning, ironing, folding, and finishing of flatwork items, items on hangers, and tumble-dried and folded items. The contractor must also process government-furnished specialty items, uniforms, and mental-health pillows/blankets. The place of performance for clean linen delivery is Building 16 Loading dock at 3601 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, and for soiled linen pick-up is the Loading dock on Coast Guard Ave. between bldg. 3 and bldg. 2.
