Research Vessel Snavely Hull Replacement
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidentals to remove corroded hull sections (four 52-inch by 8-inch panels and four 26-inch by 8-inch panels, totaling approximately 17.3 square feet), fabricate and install 5086 aluminum replacement plating with full-penetration welding, inspect adjacent hull areas, document repairs with photographs, and provide a final repair report and warranty documentation. All work shall be performed on-site at the USGS Marine Facility yard in Santa Cruz, California.
