This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334516 The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
The contractor shall furnish and deliver one Roving Frame (Brand Name Rieter F33 or Equal) with key features including a spindle count of 120 or better, auto-doffing/bobbin changing, touch-screen PLC controls, and automated creels; and one Rotor Spinning Frame (Brand Name Rieter R40 or Equal) with 320 rotors or better and inverter-controlled drives. The contractor must also provide shipping/freight/incidentals inclusive of all charges. All items must be new, have clear traceability to the OEM, and be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance. Delivery is required 60 days after award to the USDA ARS Cotton Structure & Quality Research facility in New Orleans, LA.
