The contractor must provide a high-resolution particle sizing disc centrifuge that uses a centrifugation method with line start mode, an analysis size range of 0.005 to 30 µm, a microprocessor-controlled digitally driven electric motor with speed continuously variable from 500 to 15,000 rpm, speed accuracy better than ±0.01%, a temperature sensor and digital readout, a dual-purpose integral strobe, a polymethylmethacrylate disc cavity with stainless steel hub, dynamically balanced over the range of rotational speeds, spin fluid volume from 10 to 40 mL, and power requirements of 100/115 VAC, 220/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 1000 Watts. The system must be delivered to the Forest Products Laboratory at One Gifford Pinchot Dr., Madison, WI 53726 on or before September 30, 2026.
