Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking bids to clear and secure real property. The City’s ability to abate and secure vacant, unsecured structures and their immediate curtilage is an essential tool for protecting both the structures themselves and the surrounding neighborhoods. Unsecured vacant buildings can attract criminal activity, fires, trespassing, nuisance activity, and urban blight, all of which can have a significant negative impact on the surrounding community.
The City’s abatement and boarding authority helps prevent these conditions from spreading and ensures that vacant properties are maintained in a manner that minimizes risks to public safety and neighborhood stability. The responsibilities and overall general services that Contractor shall provide at sites requested by the City may include: clearing services such as removal of garbage; removal of accessory buildings such as sheds, garages, chicken coops, and storage structures; temporarily securing residential and commercial buildings by boarding them

Most Utah work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what an agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
