WTCPUA is requesting quotes from qualified vendors/contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, delivery, installation, and related services necessary to replace existing filter media for three (3) Unit #3 filters at the Water Treatment Plant.
The project includes removal and disposal of existing filter media; furnishing, delivery, and installation of replacement anthracite, sand, and gravel support media; and completion of all clean-up, documentation, and coordination required for return to service. Each filter is approximately 465 square feet with dimensions of 15 feet by 31 feet. The media profile specifies 24 inches of anthracite (0.9mm-1.0mm effective size, U.C. = 1.5 Max), 12 inches of filter silica sand (0.45mm-0.55mm, U.C. = 1.4 Max), and multiple 2-inch gravel layers of various sizes. The vendor shall coordinate work schedule with WTCPUA Operations, protect existing infrastructure, and provide closeout documentation including media gradation/certification and warranty information.
