The project is for the purchase and installation of vehicle movement area transponders (VMATs) for Airport ground vehicle tracking and surveillance. The scope includes providing, installing, programming, and testing twenty-seven (27) external mount VMATs on site, including all components necessary for a complete and operational installation. The successful vendor will facilitate planning, data collection, and scope meetings; coordinate and complete all necessary applications for FAA, ICAO, and FCC license approval as applicable; obtain maps and airfield layouts as needed for implementation; and provide 24/7/365 support system. The project shall not be considered complete until all VMATs have been installed, registered, activated, tested, and integrated into the FAA Surface Awareness Initiative (SAI) environment, documented, and accepted by the Airport.
