The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is soliciting bids for a custom-built 21.5–23.0 ft fiberglass boat and trailer for marine research use.
The contractor must provide a fully assembled 21.5–23.0 ft fiberglass boat with a V-hull, minimum 21'6" length, 96" beam, 60-gallon fuel capacity, hydraulic steering, Lowrance chartplotter, trim tabs, dual batteries, and a 10-year hull/transom warranty. The floor plan must accommodate a 400-gallon tank. The trailer must be aluminum marine grade, capable of trailering a vessel over 21'6" with a minimum 4,500 lb capacity, with LED submersible lights, safety chains, and spare tire. The engine (150–200 HP outboard) is purchased separately and shipped to the manufacturer for mounting. Delivery is to SCDNR Waddell Mariculture Center, 211 Sawmill Creek Rd., Bluffton, SC 29910, by March 30, 2027.
