Relay of water mains on Adams Avenue from E Wingohocking Street to 250 feet north of Unity Street, and on Unity Street (Adams Avenue to Frankford Avenue), Oakland Street (Unity Street to Orthodox Street), Penn Street (Unity Street to Sellers Street), and Griscom Street (Sellers Street to Orthodox Street). Work includes excavation for water mains; installation of ductile iron pipe in sizes from 3 to 20 inches; installation of ductile iron fittings, gate valves (4 to 12 inch), fire hydrants with center compression locks, bollards, and mechanical couplings; installation of 3/4 inch to 2 inch water service connections from water main to curb stop; installation of water supply connections from curb stop to meter; installation of water pitcher filters; concrete anchors; concrete curb, stone curb, concrete footway paving, concrete driveway paving, milling, plain cement concrete base course, high early strength concrete base course, Superpave wearing course and binder course, and temporary hot mix asphalt; construction and as-builts of 6-inch thick ADA ramps; custom signage; maintenance and protection of traffic; electrolysis corrosion control; and project schedule and notification letters. Mechanical street sweeping is included at a fixed allowance price.
