The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University (NYSCC) is soliciting bids for a Schottky type Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM) with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) capabilities. The SEM will be used to characterize microstructures, fracture surfaces, powders, and elemental compositions of materials. The optional Electron Backscatter Diffraction will aid in grain size analysis, phase analysis and determining any texturing (grain orientation) of material samples. This SEM/EDS will support graduate students in their education and research of glass, ceramic and metallic materials with some limited use on certain polymers used in biomaterial work.
This is a rebid from previous solicitation IFB 168023. We determined that there were errors in the original specification, and are rerunning the bid with the updated specifications.
This invitation for bid is being conducted through our BidNet Direct system, and is available here: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york/alfred
Emailed and hard copy bids will not be accepted.
