The New York State Education Department (NYSED) intends to contract with CASAS to provide the National External Diploma Program (NEDP), a competency‑based high school equivalency program for adults and out‑of‑school youth. CASAS is the sole source provider of the NEDP, which offers individualized, flexible pathways to a diploma through demonstrated mastery of academic and life skills.
