The incorporated Village of Amityville invites artists and artist teams to submit ideas for one or more public murals to be installed within our downtown business district.
This project is part of the Village's ongoing downtown revitalization efforts and is intended to celebrate Amityville's waterfront heritage, history, and vibrant community through public art.
The selected artist(s) will work with the Village to develop and install a finished mural at one or more of the designated locations.
Artists will be responsible for providing the materials and equipment needed to complete the mural, preparing the wall as necessary, applying a protective finish, and leaving the site in a clean condition upon completion.
The Village will coordinate access to each mural location and work collaboratively with the selected artist(s) throughout the project.
