The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) administers EPF funding
to local government entities for waste reduction and recycling projects. The goal of
this program is to assist municipalities to expand or improve local waste reduction
and recycling. Eligible projects include costs for recycling coordination, education,
planning and promotion for recycling and waste reduction in order to increase public
awareness of and participation in local recycling programs.
