The State University of New York, Maritime College (SUNY Maritime), seeks a qualified vendor for the purpose of providing US Coast Guard Approved Marine Advanced Fire Fighting Training for our Cadets.
Maritime seeks a training organization with 5+ years of expertise and is able to comply with U.S.C.G's 09-14.
This procurement is subject to New York State Law 139-l &-k, also known as the Lobbying Law. Therefore, vendors are cautioned that the only permissible contract for this procurement is the individual(s) listed as a designated contact. Contacting any other individuals at SUNY Maritime College in connection with this advertisement may constitute a violation of New York State Finance Law. Failure to comply with this requirement can range from no contract award to debarment from sales to any New York State agency.
Vendors responding to this advertisement shall be required to complete and submit applicable documents related to Vendor Responsibility, New York State Finance Law 139-j &-k, and New York State's Tax Law section 5-a.

The vendor must provide a facility and instructors with US Coast Guard approval for Advanced Marine Fire Fighting. The facility must have a working mock-up that can simulate engine room fires, multi-deck fires, oil fires, and confined space entry training. It must be able to train approximately 24 cadets per session for Basic Fire Fighting and up to 24 cadets per session per day for basic sessions. The facility must be located within a 3 hours drive of the College, have weekend availability, and be capable of storing and maintaining fire fighting equipment. The facility should be able to accommodate a combination of up to 24 sessions of basic and advanced classes per semester and have a method to simulate using foam to put out an oil fire.
