The Village of Aurora will construct the Southern Gateway Park by repurposing the old railway bed into a durable, shared use, ADA compliant trail. Additional park features include signage, parking area, picnic tables and shade trees. The project will also include but not be limited to waterfront amenities including an accessible canoe/kayak launch, kayak storage rack and launch site signage, and benches.

The Consultant shall prepare conceptual designs, final design and construction documents, obtain necessary permits including SEQRA documentation, manage the bidding process and all construction work, prepare MWBE reporting paperwork, submit periodic project status reports to NYS DOS, prepare payment requests, and participate in regular project status meetings. Specific tasks include a Project Initiation Meeting, Draft Design, Environmental Quality Review, Final Design and Construction Documents, Permits, Bidding Assistance, Project Signage, Construction Management and Site Inspection, Completion of Project, M/WBE and SDVOB Utilization and Reporting, and Project Reporting.
