The following changes have been made to RFQL 5937 in Round 2:

This RFQL is re-opening with a due date of October 29, 2026.

The RFQL program name has been updated to “Upstate Through Wall Heat Pump Demonstration Program”
•
Eligibility to apply to the re-opened RFQL is restricted to multifamily buildings located in New York State counties in climate zones 5 and 6.

•
Minor revisions to language to improve clarity on eligibility and application requirements.
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is accepting applications from New York State (NYS) building owners, managers, or operators of multifamily buildings located in climate zones 5 and 6. Approved applicants will be qualified to host field demonstrations of Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps (PTHPs) through the Clean Heat for All: Room Heat Pump Program (“Program”).
This RFQL works in conjunction with NYSERDA PON 5907, and allows awarded manufacturers to select Qualified Demonstration Sites to partner with in planning and implementing PTHP field demonstration projects beginning by the 2026 heating season (October/November 2026).

Sites must be multifamily or mixed-use buildings with 5 or more consistently occupied dwelling units, have through-wall openings suitable for PTHP installation meeting dimension constraints defined in PON 5907, and be available for demonstrations starting no later than Winter 2026.
