THE NEW YORK POWER AUTHORITY (NYPA) AND NEW YORK STATE CANAL CORPORATION (CANALS) REQUIRE THE SERVICES OF A QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED, AND PROPERLY CREDENTIALED CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ON-CALL FALL PROTECTION SERVICES AT FACILITIES LOCATED THROUGHOUT NEW YORK STATE.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL IS TO OBTAIN A CONTRACTOR(S) CAPABLE OF PROVIDING TURNKEY FALL PROTECTION SUPPORT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HAZARD ASSESSMENTS, ENGINEERING REVIEW, INSPECTION, TESTING, DESIGN, EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS, SYSTEM INSTALLATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING, AND RELATED TECHNICAL SUPPORT. SERVICES ARE TO BE PROVIDED ON AN AS-NEEDED, TASK ORDER BASIS TO SUPPORT OPERATING FACILITIES, MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES, CAPITAL PROJECTS, AND COMPLIANCE INITIATIVES.
THE SELECTED CONTRACTOR MUST FURNISH ALL LABOR, SUPERVISION, MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS (WHERE APPLICABLE), TRAVEL, DOCUMENTATION, AND INCIDENTALS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE REQUIRED WORK.

The contractor must provide turnkey fall protection support including hazard assessments, engineering review, inspection, testing, design, equipment recommendations, system installation, certification, training, and related technical support. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, management, engineering, tools, equipment, materials (where applicable), travel, documentation, and incidentals necessary to perform the required work.
