Credit Transfer Technology

The University of North Carolina System is procuring a technology solution to support a statewide transfer ecosystem. The solution must address three specific needs: expedite transfer credit evaluation (modernize equivalency databases, create faculty review workflows, store equivalencies, reduce manual data entry); integrate with existing degree audit systems and student information systems to provide accurate transfer credit evaluations and planning across multiple institutions; and dramatically improve the current reverse transfer system, resulting in automatic processing of student transcripts and automatic identification of earned credentials. The solution must support pre-transfer technology (transcript upload, equivalency viewing, degree plan creation, 'what if' scenarios) and post-transfer technology (reverse transfer identification, electronic credit transfer, data-exchange workflow between universities and community colleges). The solution must be customizable for individual university and community college branding, allow users to compare multiple institutions with dashboard functionality, and include 'what if' transfer planning scenarios.
