The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) is soliciting bids for the cutting of non-
merchantable trees by hand and with a masticator. All cut and down woody material will be hand &/or machine
piled on approximately 118 acres. The goal of the treatment is to reduce the wildfire hazard within the project
area by reducing the abundance and density of surface fuels comprised of woody material. A more complete
description of the supplies and/or services sought is provided under the Prerequisites and Buyer Attachments
tabs of this solicitation.
From the date this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued until an award is made and announced by the procurement
officer, bidders shall not communicate with any State staff regarding this procurement, except at the direction
of the procurement officer. Email is the preferred method of communication with the procurement
officer. Unauthorized contact may disqualify the bidder from further consideration.

1.5 Review and accept the "DRAFT" contract as provided. Bidders requesting additions or

NDA 889 document. This form is required as Federal Funds are involved with this
project.
